Title
In the three-plus weeks that the United States has engaged in armed conflict with Iran, I have been searching for the right words to convey my prayers for peace. There are times when I find that the more I try to grab onto exactly the right words, the more they seem to slip through my grasp. That is often when I turn to music. Somehow, music tends to cut straight to my soul in ways that not even spoken words can do.
I wanted to share with you the words, in music form, that have been my prayers for peace in these weeks. They are words of my dear friend, songwriter Kristen Graves:
When we have no other words to offer, may we sing a simple prayer of peace for one another, for today and forevermore.
