Purpose of SMS Messaging
The New Hampshire Conference of the United Church of Christ is committed to nurturing the life and ministries of congregations and leaders across New Hampshire. To fulfill this mission, we may use SMS messaging to communicate with volunteers, donors, and members of our community about:
Upcoming events, programs, and initiatives.
Fundraising efforts to support our ministries.
Volunteer opportunities.
Important updates or alerts related to NHCUCC activities.
For more information about our mission and work, visit our Overview Page.
How to Opt-In
We aren't going to text you without you texting us first or agreeing to receive text messages. At the time, we don't have online forms that have a text opt-in option, so you can presently opt-in by providing us written authorization to nhcucc@nhcucc.org, or text us first, and we will reply to you.
By opting in, you confirm that you are the authorized user of the mobile phone number provided and that you consent to receiving messages from NHCUCC.
Message Frequency
The number of messages you receive will depend on your level of engagement with NHCUCC. We aren't sending automatic messages-every text you receive will be from a real member of our staff in reply to an inquiry. In general, you can expect one to two messages in response for each message you send us.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply to any messages sent to you by NHCUCC or from you to NHCUCC, as per your wireless carrier’s standard messaging and data plans.
How to Opt-Out
You can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying with:
STOP to cancel all messages.
HELP for assistance or additional information.
After opting out, you may still receive non-SMS communications, such as emails, related to your involvement with NHCUCC.
Privacy and Data Use
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Your mobile number and any information shared through SMS messaging will not be sold, shared, or used for purposes beyond NHCUCC’s mission and activities.
Disclaimer of Liability
While NHCUCC strives to provide timely and accurate information through its SMS messaging service, we are not responsible for:
Delays or message delivery failures due to network or technical issues.
Any charges or fees imposed by your wireless carrier.
Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use NHCUCC’s SMS messaging service to:
Send spam or unauthorized commercial messages.
Engage in unlawful or inappropriate activity.
We reserve the right to terminate your participation in the program if we suspect misuse.
Changes to Terms and Conditions
NHCUCC reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated through our website or via SMS. Your continued participation constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
