Mission

Guns to Gardens NH gives community members a safe, voluntary way to surrender unwanted firearms — no loaded firearms accepted, identity may remain anonymous — to be dismantled on site by trained volunteers following ATF guidelines. Scrap metal and wood are given to artists and transformed into gardening tools and works of art.

Right now, community members with unwanted firearms have no way to dispose of them other than giving them away or selling them. Guns to Gardens takes a different path: it helps take firearms off the market by repurposing them into something more useful, and less harmful, to our community.

How This Works:

  • Bring your unwanted, unloaded firearms in the rear of your vehicle (trunk or rear cargo area). Not sure it's unloaded? Tell a volunteer — no loaded firearms are allowed on the premises.

  • Your identity may remain anonymous.

  • A volunteer will guide you through the process. Please remain in your vehicle at all times.

  • Your firearm(s) will be removed by a volunteer and delivered to a chop saw operator.

  • Volunteers dispose of firearms following ATF guidelines. Scrap goes to artists to become gardening tools and works of art.

  • $25 gas gift cards offered to the first 30 participants.
