What is Not Our America?
A peaceful march through Durham's Main Street as a demonstration against the current actions being taken against Americans across the country by ICE.
Why This Matters
When a democracy is struggling, it is more important than ever to exercise your rights. While the Durham community is not directly affected by the actions of ICE, our civil liberties are still under attack. If we do not use our rights, we are consenting to losing them. America was built by immigrants that left their homes for a better future, unified under the shared belief that while we do not have to like each other, we have to respect each other. It is time we are clear about our convictions and stand up for what is right.
