Maine School of Ministry and Shalem Institute
The Maine Conference’s School of Ministry is partnering with the Shalem Institute in offering two learning opportunities open to both laity and clergy of the NH Conference.
The first, described as a summer intensive, is titled “Contemplative Leadership in Times of Change: Building Resiliency,” and runs June 8 through 11.
The second, a one-day course, is titled “Resilience for Social Activists” and is scheduled for June 12.
Financial assistance is available both in scholarship form through the Maine School of Ministry, and through the NH Conference (https://nhcucc.org/resourceslinks/grants-scholarships).
Rev. Tara Barber and Rev. Stephen Boyd to Offer Workshop on Healthy Pastoral Relations Committees

Pastoral Relations Committees (PRC) provide essential leadership in the life of a congregation. Come to this workshop to explore what the purpose of a PRC is and is not. We’ll be talking through a newly developed PRC covenant to help name the priorities and commitments of a well-functioning PRC. Stephen will share best practices from around the church and be prepared to answer your questions.

Our first ever all-Zoom Clergy Day was held on April 29, 2020 Rev. Dr. Rachael Keefe, author of The Life-Saving Church: Faith Communities and Suicide Prevention was the keynote speaker. She addressed the challenges and best-practices of suicide prevention and the church.
